Ever since the first XBOX was released in 2001, there has been a lot of controversy on which company had the better console, Sony or Microsoft? Even though it was kind of an unfair start for XBOX because Sony had already created two different PlayStation's, they got ahead of the game pretty quickly. In the early days of the Xbox they had slightly worse graphics than the Ps2, but they already had made huge advancements since it was their first attempt at a console. When the Xbox 360 came out in 2005, Sony realized that they seriously needed to make a new console to compete with the advanced graphics so they released the Ps3 in 2006. almost exactly a year later. In 2013 both companies released their new consoles, the Ps4 and the Xbox One. The Ps4 overall had better graphics and a better processor, especially when they released the Ps4 Pro which could run 4k graphics in 2016. In 2017 Microsoft released their Xbox One X which was supposed to take over the gaming experience. Overall in sales PlayStation is leading because the Ps2 was the best selling console with 155,000,000. PlayStation's overall sales for their consoles is 507.8 million. Xbox has sold about 138 million. Of course Sony has released more PlayStation consoles than Microsoft has for Xbox, but for the Ps4 more people bought it, approximately 30-40 million more people.
